I am fascinated with the structure of monochromatic color schemes. Working with fibers, I have been striving to break the obvious confines of the monochromatic theme, using innovative technique, texture, and surface manipulation. My fiber surfaces are often further manipulated by tearing, painting, and weaving the fabric, which is then extensively machine stitched to provide structure as well as imagery. Additionally, my concern for the environment has led me to create work conveying this concern through actual imagery or more subtly, with supplies or techniques used.

The form and movement created by the human form adds another dimension to my fiber art. Using techniques similar to the ones described, I also create wearable art, including tunics, shirts, jackets, scarves, and bags.

I am fascinated with the simple yet functional shape of my Wild Onion Jacket. As a canvas, it offers me an endless arena to explore new techniques, stretching the boundaries of art, form, and function.
